The Shushufindi-Aguarico fields were discovered by Texaco in 1969 and came onstream in 1972. In 2012, Consorcio Shushufindi S.A., a Schlumberger-led joint venture with Tecpetrol and Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) signed an incremental production contract with Petroamazonas.The Consorcio Shushufindi partners receive a service tariff on incremental production above a base curve.
