The Skjold field is located in between the Gorm and Halfdan field, around 10 kilometres south of the Tyra, in the Danish offshore sector. The field has a naturally fractured chalk reservoir.The Skjold oil field was initially developed as an unmanned satellite of Gorm. In 1992, a development plan was approved which led to a major upgrade of the field facilities.
