State-owned TPAO, in partnership with Canada-based Trillion Energy, is developing the offshore South Akcakoca Sub-Basin (SASB) gas project. This has historically been Türkiye's only Black Sea upstream supply. Four fields – Akkaya, Dogu Ayazli, Ayazli and Akcakoca – were commissioned in 2007-11 via fixed shallow-water platforms.In 2022, the partners commenced a large-scale redevelopment programme to boost performance of the gas fields, following years of low production. ...
