Asset Report
South Kamishldzha Area (Turkmenneft)
Report summary
The state-owned South Kamishldzha Area is located onshore in west Turkmenistan, in the South Caspian basin. South Kamishldzha and Cheleken are the largest fields, but are both highly mature. Cheleken lies 140 kilometres north of the other fields. Despite exploration and appraisal success, production has generally been in decline since the early 2000s. However, the Altyguyi discovery has supplied important incremental volumes since 2011.
