The global deep water market continues to find its place in a lower-for-longer commodity price environment. For the past two years we have grappled with how to maintain commerciality of world class reserves and projects in a new commodity price environment that did not support traditionally high break even economics. Thankfully the first half of 2017 has seen a thinning of the mist with glimpses of hope towards a recovery story for the subsea market.
