Report summary

The Talinga coal seam gas (CSG) field is located on a structural high called the Undulla Nose. The Undulla Nose is considered to be a world class unconventional gas play due to the coal properties and structural setting. The field supplies domestic gas contracts within Queensland and, also forms a key part of the initial supply to the Australia Pacific LNG (APLNG) project.The first exploration wells were drilled on Talinga in 2001. Gas sales began in October 2007.
