Taq Taq is an oil field located in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, around 55 kilometres to the northeast of Kirkuk. The field is a surface anticline which produces from Middle-to-Upper Cretaceous reservoirs, which contain a light, sweet, under-saturated oil with low levels of associated gas. Taq Taq is one of three fields that have underpinned Kurdistan's oil production growth over the past decade. The others being Khurmala Dome and Tawke.
