Report summary
The Tarakan PSC allows the operator to explore beneath the known reservoirs of the Kalimantan TAC and other areas on Tarakan Island, offshore East Kalimantan. Oil production began in 1989, followed by first gas production in 1997. The main producing field, Mamburungan, is in decline and continued development drilling and well workovers will be required to slow the production decline.
