Tartan Area consists of five oil fields: Duart, Highlander, Petronella, Tartan and Tartan North Terrace. These fields lie 14 kilometres southwest of the Piper field in the Central North Sea.Tartan was developed via single steel platform. Duart, Highlander, Petronella and Tartan North Terrace have been developed as single-well subsea tie-backs. In 2008, the Galley re-development was also tied back to the Tartan platform.
