Termokarstovoye was developed by Terneftegaz, a JV between NOVATEK (51%) and TotalEnergies (49%) until the full scale invasion of Ukraine. TotalEnergies announced the sale of its 49% stake in the field to NOVATEK in July 2022. It is a remote gas-condensate field that lies 220 kilometres east of Tarko-Sale in the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
