Report summary
The Thai/Cambodia Overlapping Claims Area (OCA) is a 27,000 square kilometre section of the Gulf of Thailand, disputed by both Thailand and Cambodia. It lies within the Pattani Basin, which has provided most of Thailand's gas and liquid production. The OCA area was claimed by Cambodia in the west in 1972 and Thailand in the east in 1973, with the southern boundary set by the 1991 Cambodian-Vietnam maritime border.
