Report summary
Tibú is a mature field located near the border with Venezuela, where hydrocarbons were first discovered in 1901. Production from the field started in 1944 and peak production of 26,000 b/d was reached in 1955. Colpet held the concession until 1971, when Ecopetrol became the operator.
