Chevron has agreed to sell its Congo upstream business to Trident Energy. The portfolio includes a 31.5% stake in the Moho-Bilondo, Nkossa and Nsoko fields, and a 15.75% stake in the Lianzi field. Chevron will retain a 15.5% interest in Lianzi held by Cabinda Gulf Oil Company, its Angola subsidiary (Lianzi is in a shared unitisation zone with Angola). In a separate but related deal, TotalEnergies EP Congo, owned by TotalEnergies (85%) and QatarEnergy (15%), has agreed to sell its 53.5% interest in the Nkossa and Nsoko fields to Trident Energy for a 10% stake in the Moho-Bilondo field.
