The giant Troll field is located in the Northern North Sea, 65 kilometres west of Kollness. The field has huge gas reserves, accounting for 40% of total gas reserves on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. The field consists of three large rotated fault-blocks: Troll Øst, Troll Vest Gassprovins and Troll Vest Oljeprovins.
