Report summary
The Tsimiroro oil field is located onshore in Block 3104, 120 kilometres from Madagascar's western coast. Madagascar Oil operates the licence. The field lies at a depth of 40 to 300 metres. At 14 °API oil, its crude is classed as low-sulphur heavy oil. Tsimiroro's oil flows naturally at rates of only 1-2 b/d.
