Report summary
Uganda is a frontier oil and gas country with no current production. Exploration and development is in the Albert-Edward Rift basin, which forms part of the East African Rift System, located in northwest Uganda and extending into the Democratic Republic of Congo. Since 2006, over 1.6 billion barrels of oil has been discovered. Reserves are located in fields on Blocks 1 and 2 (Tilenga) and Block 3A (Kingfisher).The Tilenga and Kingfisher developments will produce 230,000 b/d at peak. This ...
