UK oil and gas production up again in 2016
Report summary
UK oil and gas production data for 2016 is now fully available and the headline trend is an increase for the second year in a row. However, maintenance outages and natural declines restricted overall growth to just 2.1% year-on-year. Liquids production averaged 949,000 b/d (up 1.5%) and gas production 4,217 mmcfd (up 2.5%). Buzzard was the largest liquids producing field and the new Laggan field the largest gas producer.
