Report summary

The Umid Babek block is located in the southern Caspian Sea 40 kilometres offshore in 40 120 metres of water. It contains the Umid gas condensate field and the adjacent Babek prospect. Umid was discovered in November 2010 and began producing in 2012.In May 2017 the Azerbaijani Parliament ratified the country's first Risk Service Agreement (RSA) for Umid Babek. Under the new contract the project will continue to be operated by SOCAR and Nobel Oil through the contractor Umid Babek ...
