Report summary
The Urd project consists of the Svale, Svale Nord and Stær oil discoveries in the Norwegian Sea. Svale is located five kilometres to the northeast of the Norne oil field in the Nordland II Trænabanken area. In 2002, the Stær field was discovered ten kilometres to the northeast of the Norne field. This increased the resource base sufficiently to enable a joint development of the fields. The fields were developed with four subsea templates tied-back to the Norne FPSO.
