Achimov blocks 4A and 5A cover deeper horizons of the super-giant Urengoiskoye gas field in the Nadym-Pur-Taz region of the West Siberia province. Achim Development, a JV between Gazprom and Wintershall, operates the blocks. Unlike conventional dry gas produced from Cenomanian reservoirs at Urengoiskoye, the Achimov blocks cover the liquids rich Valanginian reservoirs.
