Report summary
Waset is a recent gas discovery located in Offshore Block 2, around 35 kilometres off the coast of Abu Dhabi. Eni discovered the field in 2022 via the XF-002 well, marking the company's first discovery after acquiring multiple blocks during ADNOC's 2018 and 2019 licensing rounds. Initial gas-in-place (GIIP) estimates were between 1.5 to 2 tcf, from multiple Jurassic reservoirs.
