Weizhou Area
Report summary
The Weizhou area includes over 20 oil fields in the Beibu gulf, 100% owned by CNOOC. The development started in the early 1980s, with Weizhou 10-3/10-3N onstream in 1986. This was followed by the startup of Weizhou 11-4 and Weizhou 12-1 in 1993 and 1999, respectively. CNOOC brought 5 fields onstream in the 2000s and another 10 in the 2010s.
