The West East Pipeline (WEP) is one of China's largest infrastructure projects. The pipeline forms part of a wider West East Gas Project which involves upstream, midstream and downstream developments. A 3,839-kilometre trunkline transports gas across China from Lunnan, in the remote Tarim Basin, to Baihe Town in Shanghai - crossing Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang Provinces.
