Report summary
The West Madura PSC comprises a group of small fields offshore Java, while Poleng is a single oil and gas accumulation. PERTAMINA operates both West Madura and Poleng, although through two different subsidiaries. PERTAMINA Hulu Energy (PHE) operates West Madura, while PERTAMINA EP (PEP) is the operator of the adjoining Poleng. Both developments share production facilities and are supported by an onshore base and gas receiving facilities located in Gresik, East Java.The West Madura PSC began production in 1985, followed by Poleng in 1998. Gas from both developments is sold jointly into the East Java market, while crude is shipped to the Balikpapan refinery. This report includes an overview of trends and activities in the asset with analysis on cost, production, cashflow and fiscal terms.
