Report summary
The Western Fields comprise the Minagish, Umm Gudair, Dharif, Abduliyah, Umm Roos and Kabd oil fields, located to the west of the super-giant Burgan field. Minagish and Umm Gudair are giant fields that produce primarily from the Minagish formation - a thick, undersaturated, carbonate reservoir. The Dharif and Abduliyah fields are smaller and are at a much earlier stage of development. Umm Roos and Kabd are not yet justified for development and their resources are classified as contingent.
