Report summary

The Western Fields asset comprises the Minagish Umm Gudair Dharif and Abduliyah oil fields. Minagish and Umm Gudair are giant fields that have been producing for more than 40 years but their contribution to Kuwait's output for much of their life has been relatively small. The Dharif and Abduliyah fields are smaller fields that are at a much earlier stage of development. Since the mid 1990s Minagish and Umm Gudair have been the focus of a large scale investment programme. New oil processing and water injection facilities have been installed at both fields. These facilities also process oil production from Dharif and Abduliyah.
