Westlich der Ems covers the region in the western area of the German state of Lower Saxony (Niedersachsen) which is enclosed by the Dutch border and the river Ems. It is primarily an oil producing region but there are several small gas producing fields. Its top producing fields are R├╝hlermoor Valendis Emlichheim Georgsdorf and Ringe.
