Wide Berth (GC 490) is a small gas and associated condensate field located in the Green Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. The field was discovered in October 2009 by a JV comprised of Mariner Energy (56.25% and operator), Helix (25%), and Ridgewood Energy (18.75%). Wide Berth was developed as a single-well subsea tie-back to the Hess-operated Baldpate facility.
