Report summary
Winterfell (GC 943 / GC 944) is a mid-size subsalt Miocene discovery located in the Green Canyon protraction area of the Central Gulf of Mexico. It lies in 1,638 metres (5,374 feet) of water. The field was discovered by Beacon Offshore Energy in January 2021; the deeper reservoir (Winterfell Deep) was discovered in January 2022. The field is expected to come online in 2024.
