Report summary
The Wolin East oil field lies in the near-shore Baltic Sea. The field was discovered in 2025 by Central European Petroleum (CEP)’s first exploration well drilled in Poland. Wolin East is located six kilometres off the coast. Wolin East-1 encountered a 62-metre hydrocarbon column in the Zechstein dolomite reservoir at around 2,600 metres depth. CEP estimates that the Wolin East field holds 200 mmboe of resources, with 170 million barrels of medium gravity oil and NGLs and 180 bcf of gas, making it Poland’s largest ever discovery.
