The Xerelete field (formerly known as Curió) is located in the southern Campos basin and was TotalEnergies' first operated field in Brazil. TotalEnergies became the operator of the field in 2012 after the ANP approval.The field was discovered in 2001 in the former BC-2 block in water depths of 2,400 to 2,500 meters.
