The Yadavaran field ranks among Iran's largest onshore oil discoveries. Located about 70 kilometres southwest of Ahvaz in the southwestern part of the country, the field contains an estimated 31 billion barrels of stock tank oil initially in place (STOIIP), with a projected primary recovery rate of 14.5%.Originally thought to be two separate fields - Kushk and Hosseinieh - subsequent appraisal confirmed they form a single, extensive structure.
