Zatchi was discovered in 1981 in the shallow waters of Congo. Production from the field began in 1988.Eni added a number of platforms over several phases of the Zatchi development. The first phase was completed in 1990 and involved installing one wellhead platform (WHP). The second phase saw the addition of two more WHPs, a processing platform and water injection facilities between 1991 and 1994.
