The recently passed Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) offers a wide assortment of tax and financial incentives to transform the future electric power grid and decarbonize the economy. However, it remains to be seen if investments in transmission will be able to keep pace with this evolving grid and allow the IRA to be fully maximized as the law itself has no cap on most incentives for new clean energy sources.
