Report summary
Signs of recovery in gas and power demand are beginning to emerge where lockdowns and restrictions are being eased. Is Europe finally turning a corner? If current coronavirus restrictions last for three months, we estimate 17.6 bcm of gas demand will be lost across seven of Europe's largest gas markets - up from our previous estimate of 16.9 bcm. Our weekly update includes a refresh of our Pan-Europe report and detailed country reports for Germany, UK, Italy, France, Spain, Netherlands and Belgium - which together account for over 70% of European gas demand. A datapack is now available for subscribers of our European Energy Service.
