Mansur is responsible for developing new business across upstream and carbon management in Africa. Previously, as Head of West Africa Upstream, Sub-Saharan Africa Oil & Gas, he spearheaded research delivery and industry stakeholder engagement in the region.
Mansur has delivered pivotal advisory projects for a diverse range of stakeholders, including IOCs, NOCs, asset operators, financial institutions and service sector customers. His contributions span across strategy, valuations, opportunity screening, transaction support, investment attraction and market analysis across the oil and gas value chain. He is a regular contributor at international conferences as a moderator, speaker and panellist where he shares his expertise in shaping the African energy industry.
Having joined Wood Mackenzie in 2008 as a research analyst in the Sub-Saharan Africa upstream team, Mansur built his expertise as the lead analyst for several countries, developing deep insights into the region's oil and gas sector. Over the years, he has strategically managed upstream research teams covering Western Africa, Southern Africa and East Africa, expanding his knowledge across the continent's energy landscape.
Education
Master’s degree in Oil & Gas Economics from the University of Dundee’s Centre for Energy, Petroleum, Mineral Law & Policy (CEPMLP).
