Ian brings 19 years of upstream industry experience to his role as head of regional analysis for Europe, Russian, Caspian and Africa (ERCA).
Since joining Wood Mackenzie in 2005, Ian has been involved in analysing the oil and gas industries of Sub-Saharan Africa, Middle East, UK, Russia and Caspian regions. He is currently responsible for our Sub-Saharan Africa upstream analysis alongside his role as head of regional analysis for ERCA.
Ian regularly authors global upstream reports, exploring topics including global upstream capex, discovered resource opportunities, major capital projects, deepwater and the Majors' production outlook and cost curve.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Ian was a research fellow at the University of St Andrews.
