Mihir has over eleven years of experience tracking bulk commodities such as steel, iron ore and coking coal. He covers steel and iron ore markets for East Asia (excluding China), Southeast Asia and the Middle East. Mihir also develops short and long-term outlooks on demand, supply, price and investment.
Mihir is passionate about the impact of the energy transition on bulk commodities. He leads steel decarbonisation analysis, developing net-zero scenario outlooks, investment forecasts and carbon abatement curves to achieve climate goals.
Mihir is Wood Mackenzie's APAC Inclusion, Diversity and Belonging (ID&B) advocate. He also leads the organisational operations for Wood Mackenzie’s Mumbai office.
Before Wood Mackenzie, Mihir worked with CRISIL Ltd. (An S&P Global company) as Manager (Bulk Commodities) for five years. Before that, he covered the global steel and iron ore space for four years as a Senior Commodity Analyst.
