Rachna has over 15 years’ experience specialising in economic and commodity sector analysis and forecasting. She joined Wood Mackenzie in 2022 as our lead European and US steel markets analyst, specialising in short and long-term steel demand, supply and price forecasting with close attention to Europe’s decarbonisation journey.
Prior to joining Wood Mackenzie, Rachna spent six years within the corporate strategy team at ArcelorMittal London, where she focused on the impact of latest macroeconomic and raw material developments on the global steel market. She started her career at The Economist Intelligence Unit where she established a team dedicated to producing industry and macroeconomic analysis.
