Global benzene trade to double on China’s demand growth - Part 1

Report summary

China's annual domestic demand for benzene is forecast to double from 10 to 20 million tonnes within the next decade. This is driven by robust growth in benzene derivative demand and increased investments in derivative capacities. The resulting shift in demand for benzene in China results in global trade doubling by the end of our forecast. This two-part insight explains China's benzene demand shift, provides an outlook on domestic benzene supply and highlights the risks to our outlook.
