The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) in the Indian government has issued Quality Control Orders (QCOs) for products and raw materials along the polyester value chain, with differing implementation dates. The Asian polyester market has witnessed significant changes in trade flow and price rallies before and after the implementation of QCOs.
