MEG market implications from coal and energy policies in China

The MEG market in China has been fluctuating wildly since the impact of “dual control” policy intensified in mid-September. In the Dalian Commodity Exchange (DCE), MEG futures market has hit the price limit on main contract months six times since mid-September. Prior to this, the limit was hit only once this year, in February, coinciding with the winter freeze in US.
