After a tumultuous 2020, the polyester chain has embarked upon a path of strong recovery, led by a robust rebound in the key Chinese market. Whether in terms of production growth, capacity expansions or price increases, 2021 is setting the stage for a remarkable recovery which could ultimately witness some of the best years for the industry yet. Indeed, there has been much talk about the next super-cycle of commodities. It is already leading to a strong recovery in crude oil prices, and for the polyester chain, is heralding another cyclical boom. The roaring 20’s for the polyester chain has begun.</div>
