The thermoplastics team hosted a webinar on 30 May 2023 to present their long-term report update. The report describes a detailed vision of the supply and demand for the intermediates and applications on polyamide 6 and 66. In the case of polyamide 66 this year should mark a turning point in the supply of ADN/HMD. intermediates. The entry into the operation of new capacities in China makes China self-sufficient in these intermediates. The other capacities due to come into operation in 2024 and 2025 will even generate large regional and global overcapacity. Each region must manage its own over-capacity with much fewer export possibilities.
