Arutmin Sarongga is a thermal coal mine located 50 kilometres north of Batulicin, South Kalimantan producing lignite coal for export and domestic markets. Arutmin comprises five separate operations - Mulia, Satui, Senakin, Sarongga and Batulicin - which are all located in South Kalimantan. Bumi Resources reports Batulicin output including Sarongga, whereas we have split production between the two areas. This concession operated under a first-generation CCA, which was awarded on 2 November 1981. In November 2020, the concession was changed to a Special Mining Business License (IUPK).
