Asset Report
Cerrolargo Centro coal mine
Report summary
Cerrolargo Centro is a currently suspended truck-and-shovel operation owned by Drummond. We forecast the mine to reopen by the end of the decade with production to be trucked to the Pribbenow mine for blending and transport to Puerto Drummond port. Cerrolargo Centro will produce an unwashed low-sulphur, low-ash bituminous coal destined for the export thermal coal market. The Cerrolargo Centro mine is expected to restart production in 2023 with 0.5 million tonnes. Production will eventually increase to 1 million tonnes in the following year and remain close to this level over the life of the mine.
