Report summary
Sev.en Energy is a privately owned power generation, commodity trading, power engineering and coal mining company based in the Czech Republic. Blackhawk Mining, which Sev.en Energy acquired in June 2020, became a new entrant into Appalachia in 2012 with its Pine Branch purchase and grew rapidly in 2014-2015 after purchasing assets from James River, Patriot, Arch and Rhino coal companies. The company operates surface and underground thermal and metallurgical mines in Central Appalachia. We expect Sev.en Energy to produce 9.7 Mst of thermal and metallurgical coal in 2022.
