Report summary
Coal Mountain was a coal mine located in southeastern British Columbia and operated by Teck Coal. The mine primarily produced a low sulphur, medium volatile PCI coal product and a smaller amount of low sulphur thermal coal. The majority of the coal was sold to the seaborne markets via Westshore and Neptune Terminals. The mine ended operations in Q2 2019, entering a 10 year Care and Maintenance phase before full reclamation/remediation.
