German Creek Aquila coal mine

Report summary

German Creek Aquila is an underground suspended coal mine and longwall project that forms part of Anglo American's Capcoal complex, in Queensland. The complex includes the operating German Creek Grasstree mine, the Bundoora underground mine (on care and maintenance) and two surface operations, Lake Lindsay (operating) and Oak Park (closed). Capcoal is covered by six mining leases including ML1831, ML1998 (German Creek East), ML70311 (Oak Park), ML70336 (Lake Lindsay), ML1894 (German Creek) and ML70047.
