German Creek Aquila is a longwall underground coal mine that forms part of Anglo American's Capcoal complex, in Queensland. The complex includes two additional underground mines; German Creek Grasstree (closed) and Bundoora (on care and maintenance) and two surface operations; Lake Lindsay (operating) and Oak Park (closed). Capcoal is covered by six mining leases including ML1831, ML1998 (German Creek East), ML70311 (Oak Park), ML70336 (Lake Lindsay), ML1894 (German Creek) and ML70047.
