Liddell coal mine
Report summary
The Liddell mine is located 25 kilometres north west of the town of Singleton, in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales. It produces high quality thermal coal and semi-soft coking coal for the export market. The mine occupies lease ML 1597 and is comprised of a number of pits covering an area of 1,326 ha. The lease area contains the former Liddell and Hazeldene underground mines and the former Durham and Foybrook surface mines.
