Asset Report
San Juan coal mine
Report summary
San Juan will be an underground mine using longwall methods located south of the Cerrejon concession. The mine will consist of a single ramp using two conveyors, with development taking place over the course of seven years. Once it ramps up production, San Juan will be the largest underground mine in Colombia. In September 2016, Yildirim finalised the purchase of all CCX's assets in Colombia along with a transportation project. We anticipate output at the mine will consist of approximately 60% thermal coal and 40% PCI.
